Our Team

Sabina loves that STEM You Can! not only provides programs for kids but has a constantly growing community of youth leaders running the camps.  She is honored to work with such an inspirational team of high school and college students and believes that with passion, motivation, and dedication anyone can become a leader. She is now working with 100+ student volunteers and by 2020, her dream is to train 1,000 youth volunteers and impact 10,000 kids.

In 2016, Sabina was awarded the Jefferson Award, the most prestigious award in the United States for public service, and was recognized at the Jefferson National Awards Ceremony in Washington, D.C. Sabina is also a recipient of the Diller Teen Tikkun Olam Award, a $36,000 philanthropy award given to young entrepreneurs for exceptional leadership. In 2017, she was selected as One of 22 Under 22 Most Inspiring College Women by Her Campus National Magazine.

Sabina London, Founder and President

Sabina is a senior at the University of Pennsylvania who is passionate about helping others and inspiring young people to have an impact in their communities and reach their full potential as leaders. She founded STEM You Can! (formerly known as Girls Science Interactive) when she was 15 years old with the goal of sparking an interest in science in elementary and middle school girls by performing fun, hands-on experiments on topics ranging from space exploration to global warming. She developed a curriculum focused on encouraging collaboration through group projects, discussions, and friendly competitions.

Sabina and her friend Madlen Can ran the first free STEM summer camp in 2014, and the kids absolutely loved it. In 2015, Girls Science Interactive was awarded multiple grants so that it could be offered in more locations. In four years, the organization grew to a national 501 (c)(3) non-profit with 60 summer camps, after school programs, and STEM workshops across the United States to date. In August 2016, Girls Science Interactive was featured on Good Morning America to inspire other teens to make a difference in their communities.
